Herff Jones & HJ Virginia Photo is looking for an innovative, tech-savvy, data-driven Digital Marketing and Social Media Coordinator who can create digital marketing pieces and who has expert experience in handling both paid and unpaid social media marketing platforms. In this role, you will guide the strategy for our online brand identity including web, social media, and email marketing, as well as additional digital channels to further our digital marketing growth with the end goal to increase sales.

General Job Description/Skills:

•Ability to work well in challenging, fast-paced, highly detailed, and deadline-oriented environments both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, WordPress, Canva, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter/X.

•Interest and experience in marketing through all social media platforms (Experience doesn’t have to be through degree).

•Have technology skills/knowledge that allow you to quickly pick up new processes and learn new programs.

• Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy and close observance of grammar guidelines is a must.

• A self-starter that can work independently to create marketing strategies for our various businesses and products.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Ability to design marketing content for a wide range of mediums including websites, email, social, digital, and print collateral.

• Create and post social media advertisem*nts that drive inside sales of all products.

• The ability to edit photos is a plus.

• Work closely with our product Teams and Sales Representatives to produce innovative concepts that make strategic sense for all our marketing platforms.

• Develop digital strategies that will help people move from exposure to Herff Jones to taking the next steps that connect them to Herff Jones and lead them to purchase.

• Schedule weekly posts to include events, videos, and still-shot graphics.

• Post all events to social media outlets (including graphics) at least 30-45 days prior to the event.

• Drive traffic/conversions (increase page likes and follows monthly) through the creation of ad campaigns for a variety of platforms. To include social media, graphics, videos, flyers, and all other means.

• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in-group problem-solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

• Keep up-to-date and utilize the latest and brand-relevant features of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, and other social media networks.

• Update web content regularly including a calendar of events.

• Monitor, listen, and engage with end-users to foster a sense of community online and brand loyalty.

• Ensure the copy published on Social Media platforms has a clear and cogent message that is developed for its intended audience.

• Manage, track and report on success of social media campaigns (organic and paid) on a monthly/quarterly basis and develop improvement strategies.

• Ensuring fresh and engaging content is continuously being released and updated on all our sales and social channels.

• Ensuring our website and sales channel's homepages, product pages, landing pages etc. stay fresh with updated accurate content and continue to be engaging.

• Proof and review ad campaign assets prior to launch

• Develop and refine creative email marketing strategies and optimize funnels for conversion.

• Stay up to date on industry and competitors. Social Media Management

• Create and implement strategies to establish and enhance our social media presence on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

• Develop engaging content, including posts, stories, and videos, to attract and retain our target audience.

• Monitor social media platforms for trends and opportunities and leverage them to increase brand visibility and engagement.

• Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages promptly, and cultivate a positive online community. Website Management

Collaborate with the team to identify areas of improvement on our website and develop strategies to enhance its functionality and user experience.

• Update and optimize website content, ensuring it is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with our brand identity.

• Implement techniques to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to the website. Ad Campaign Management

• Design and execute effective ad campaigns on various platforms, such as Google Ads, social media platforms, and other relevant channels.

• Conduct thorough audience research and competitor analysis to identify target demographics and optimize campaign performance.

• Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize ad spend and maximize ROI. Requirements:

• Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing ad campaigns on social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Ads and Facebook, and a demonstrated ability to leverage them effectively.

• Proficiency in content creation, including writing, editing, and designing engaging visual content.

• Strong knowledge of principles and techniques to enhance website visibility.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and interact with our online community.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Qualification Requirements:

• Provide a portfolio with 3-4 samples of previous digital marketing materials.

• Strong work ethic, organized, detail oriented, and have excellent writing and communication skills.

• A multi-tasker with a positive, creative, and energetic attitude.

• Reliable and punctual with ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

• Create graphics and similar promotion materials for multiple platforms for both internal and external use.

• Need excellent writing skills and organization skills.

•Experience designing social media content, including static visual posts and videos, in standard formats used on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and other channels.

• 2+ years’ experience in Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads.

• Degrees or comparable experience, and/or certifications in marketing, advertising, media studies, and communication.

• Demonstrable paid social media marketing experience and social analytics tools knowledge.

• Passion for digital media, increasing customer engagement and a desire to expand understanding and use of emerging social media.

• Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Growth mindset - enthusiasm for challenges and strong work ethic with a 'can do' attitude.

• Objectivity and openness to others' views while continuously maintaining a positive team spirit.

Physical/Mental:

•Mobility: Primarily sedentary; able to sit for long periods of time.

•Environmental Conditions: Usual office setting; contact with computer screen for long periods of time.

•Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

•Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality of detailed work while meeting competing and inflexible deadlines; ability to perform repetitive tasks.

•Identify inefficient/ineffective processes and implement improvements.

Benefit:

• Full-time position: 35-40 hrs./week.

•$22-$25/hour based on experience.

•Monday through Friday work hours.
